Therapy Services

Individual Therapy

Disability, chronic illness, and/or neurodivergence can shift everything: how you see yourself, how others see you, and what intimacy looks and feels like. In individual sessions, we work through those shifts together. By untangling those experiences, reconnecting with who you are.

At your pace and on your terms, we'll explore:

  • Depression and anxiety about diagnoses and living in a world that wasn't built for you
  • Grief around changing abilities and bodies
  • Navigating fatigue, pain, or mobility differences
  • Loving your body while also mourning parts of it

Couples & Relationship Therapy

When disability enters a partnership, either from birth, diagnosis, or injury, it can shift roles, identity, and intimacy. Many couples find themselves focusing on appointments, pain management, financial struggles, and insurance. These hardships may consume your every thought. It can begin to pull you apart rather than bring you closer.

Together, we work to:

  • Interrupt painful conflict cycles
  • Strengthen communication and emotional safety
  • Navigate caregiver-partner dynamics
  • Rebuild trust and connection
  • Address the desire discrepancy when pain or fatigue is present
  • Reduce resentment and burnout

Family Therapy

The family system is one of, if not the most, important systems. Family is where we find safe connection and secure attachment. The medical system has the potential to negatively impact our attachment. When stress builds, it can bring out the exhaustion in us, communication breaks down, and we begin to feel frustrated and misunderstood.

Family therapy can help when

  • A child or parent has a disability or chronic illness
  • Parents and teens or adult children feel stuck in fight or flight
  • Caregiver fatigue is affecting the household
  • Siblings are struggling with shifting roles
  • Conversations about independence feel hard
  • A diagnosis has changed family dynamics
